A week out together  by Martyna Cielecka, 1b

On 27 of May, pupils from our school, together with 3 teachers (of English and IT) went on a fantastic trip to Great Britain.

Most of us have neither been to the UK, nor flown by plane. That is reason we were extremely excited when we met at 8:30 at the airport in Jasionka, before our direct flight to Bristol. The plane journey went smoothly. When we got off the plane and we got on a rented coach and went straight to a pretty town of Cheddar. We head a location-based game which helped us to get to know this lovely place, famous for its Cheddar cheese and spectacular Gorges. After a long first day we came to our host families and had some rest.

aw2019 1On the following day we had a tour around Bristol. We visited Clifton Suspension Bridge which was the first bungee jump site. We learnt that Bristol is a home town of a mysterious Graffiti artist Banksy. Our guide showed us some of his best pieces and we also visited a museum where we could make our own graffiti it was so much fun.

The third day in Cardiff was very turned out to be difficult, because it was raining heavily and it was freezing. We visited open-air museum of British architecture. The place was huge and we didn’t manage to see everything. We also had a chance to see some local attractions e.g. Cardiff castle and City Hall.

The fourth day involved a visit to a British tour of W. Shakespeare birth place: Stratford-Upon Avon is a pictures and little town full off beautiful gardens and thatched-roof cottages. At the and we came back to Bristol to do shopping.

On the fifth day we took a look at unusual Stones called Stonehenge. Later we went to a splendid town of Bath, famous for Roman Baths.

On our last day we went to the academic town of Oxford. It is an interesting place full of students of one of the oldest and best universities in the world. We saw a few places connected with filming Henry Patter for example Bodleian Library. We loved the colorful and busy atmosphere of this town. Some of us would like to study there in the future. From Oxford we went to the airport in Luton and we flew back home.

Every day was on opportunity to experience new culture, try new food and practise our English skills. I think that most of us would like to came back to these beautiful places again.
